Chanel Le Rouge Eyeshadow Palette

The new Chanel Le Rouge Collection for Fall '16 has launched and its all about 50 shades of red (ok, maybe not that many...). I picked up this gorgeous eyeshadow palette from the collection, in the shade Candeur Et Expérience. This is the first completely matte eyeshadow palette released by Chanel, and it comes with the appointment of new Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, Lucia Pica.

As the name might suggest, the collection is full of red hues that reflect Lucia Pica's love for the colour. From eyeshadows and eyeliners to lipsticks and nail gloss, the collection boasts a seductive and luxury feel. The warm red and brown tones are perfect for the autumn but there's no denying that they could easily be worn throughout the year.

This is the first eyeshadow palette I've owned by Chanel, and it feels extra special. The all matte finish and the excitement of Lucia Pica's first collection make this a must have in any makeup lovers' collection. The eyeshadows themselves are pigmented and easy to blend, and the four shades work perfectly together. The red and brown tones really make my blue eyes pop.

These shades have been picked so carefully, and although they're interesting, they're so simple to wear. You can create a neutral look using the three brown shades, and take it from day-to-night by placing a little of the burnt red shade all over to add a little more warmth and ka-pow to your look.

I'm quite a neutral girl at heart when it comes to the eyes, but since debating whether or not to pick up the Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette there was no way I could resist Chanel. I'm excited for Fall to roll around so that this palette can be used in all its glory.
