Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips - Kim K.W.

Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips have been so eagerly anticipated I couldn't wait to get my hands on one of them. I knew immediately I wanted the Kim Kardashian shade, Kim K.W., a pale pink nude, but there's no denying that all these shades are absolutely stunning! I've also got my eye on Super Cindy, a taupe-nude shade inspired by Cindy Crawford as well as Liv It Up, a rosey-pink shade inspired by Liv Tyler.

The Hot Lips collection was inspired by 12 celebrities and also includes 4 original shades, Nude Kate, Very Victoria, Penelope Pink & Sexy Sienna. The lipstick collection embodies powerful and inspiring women, and celebrates the power that lipstick can have on a woman's mood and confidence.

The collection includes two different formulas, Luminous Modern-Matte Lipstick and Fallen From The Lipstick Tree. As you would expect the Modern-Matte formula has a matte finish but is still creamy and comfortable to wear. All lipsticks have the iconic square-angled tip, but the matte formula includes Orchid Extract and voluminising 3D pigments that give the lips a 'cashmere-soft' look.

The Fallen From The Lipstick Tree formula is creamier but still very pigmented. The lipsticks contain a secret antioxidant extract from the Lipstick Tree as well as a blend of special waxes. It is claimed that the lipsticks also include clever light-diffusing pigments that give your lips a fuller, 'ultra-brilliant' look.

The Fallen From The Lipstick Tree formula shades are Nude Kate, Liv It Up, Hot Emily, Penelope Pink and Kim K.W.. The remainder of the shades are the Luminous Modern-Matte formula.

Kim K.W. is a vintage inspired pale pink nude that helps give the lips an instantly fuller and irresistible look. I think this would be a nice, universal shade, suited to a lot of skin tones. The shade translates well on the lips from the bullet but could also easily be used with a lip brush. I personally found it a bit difficult to apply at first, but I'm not used to using a lipstick with the square-angled tip - hopefully with practice this will become easier.

These beautiful lipsticks are packaged in a very luxurious rose gold tube. The overall quality and packaging of this lipstick is reflected in the price, these are not cheap lipsticks. But if you're looking for an excuse to buy one, a £1 donation from the price of every Hot Lips lipstick sold within the first two months of sales will be donated to Women for Women International. It's a shame that only a small amount will be donated to the charity but any contribution will make a difference.
